Calling all Pastor's kids: watch this!

Yes, peeps; watch this:

Somehow... this video got me thinking about some friends I have who grew up as pastors' kids.  I feel sad hearing some of the stories--the expectations are insane and inhumane!  While I can't exactly identify, I can empathize with growing up under high expectations.  So if you're reading this, and you happen to know a few...
  1. Pastors' kids are normal kids too.  Give 'em a break, yeah?
  2. Pastors are human too.  Give them a break.
  3. People who grew up as pastors' kids are people too.   Really, really give them a break (and lots of chocolate candy bars... 8D ).

...be real, ya know?

I love this webcomic:

After Eden

You gotta be real, ya know what I'm saying?  And funny at the same time, like this guy:

Now that's what I call:
  • Being real
  • being funny
  • and being real funny :D

I believe "old" (in their thinking) Christians see their walk with God as a religion, that God is an impersonal God, and think that making humourous but wholesome stuff like the above is practically sacrilege.  That's not true, IMHO--God has a wonderful sense of humour.

On the other hand, some can go the other extreme, and try to justify cruelty (laughing at other people and hurting their feelings) using the same.

It's not the same thing.  Cruelty is from the enemy's camp.
